small concert - this is how the sisters Malika and Dariya Maminova see the musical salon of the 21st century: In a chamber music setting, the audience hears Bach played on a vibraphone with bows, the hypnotizing sound of African Mbiras, virtuosic arrangements of works from Deubssy as well as rhythmical Techo on a toy soccer ball, prepared vibraphone, covers of popular rock songs, Indian harmonium, synthesizer, electronics, singing in duo and lots more. Their oeuvre is focused on complete musical-performative programs. Through the combination of genres and styles, the duo goes above and beyond the boundaries of a typical concert, turning each event into an impressive journey.
